Trim Cable Anchor Brackets (2)

The Trim Cable Anchor Bracket is an improvement of my original Anchor Bracket that I designed in 2008 and was used on a Bronze Lindy winning RV10.  My original design replaced the Vans supplied nut that was welded to a plate.  It was riveted in place and difficult for builders to mount.  My enhanced design incorporates a bracket, milled from 6061 aluminum, with 4 countersunk screw holes, tapped for 6-32 screws,  making installation of the trim cable a breeze for adjusting. The depth of each screw is 2 times the nominal diameter of the screw.  This has a wider footprint than my original design, making it stronger by displacing the load over a greater area.  There is no weld to break due to fatigue.  Final assembly is with Blue Locktite #242 or equivalent.  This mount weighs .40 oz vs .43 oz of the supplied Vans mount.  This design has the benefit of flush mounting the screws and ease of trim cable adjustment.  See Download Instructions.
